SOUND & FREQUENCY
Sound healing uses Himalayan singing bowls to create slow, resonant tones. You lie down, close your eyes, and let the sound do its work.
There is nothing to do during a session but rest and listen. The bowls produce slow, sustained tones that settle the mind in a way that is hard to reach through ordinary effort.
Sessions are held inside our Himalayan salt room, adding the benefits of the salt environment to the sound. Group sound baths bring people together in shared silence. Private sessions allow the practice to be shaped more directly around you.
THE SCIENCE
Sound reaches the body as well as the ears. The body itself is a rhythmic system of breath, pulse, and brainwaves, all moving in subtle patterns that shift throughout the day. When these rhythms become rushed or fragmented, we experience tension, fatigue, or mental noise.
Himalayan singing bowls produce long, sustained tones that help restore a sense of coherence within this system. As the sound unfolds, the body responds instinctively, settling without effort. Over time, many people find that this kind of calm carries beyond the session and into daily life.
The human body is composed largely of water, and water carries vibration with remarkable ease. Because of this, when a singing bowl is played, the sound does not stop at the ears. As the tones travel through the room, they also move through the body itself, passing gently through tissue, fluid, and bone rather than stopping at the surface of the skin.
These vibrations unfold slowly and continuously, encouraging the body's natural rhythms to soften and reorganize. Muscles release their tension, breathing becomes deeper and more spacious, and a quiet steadiness gradually settles in. The body responds in its own time to a coherent field of sound.
Most of us move through the day carrying more tension than we realize. Our minds often remain in fast, active brainwave patterns known as beta, the state associated with thinking, problem-solving, and constant activity. As the steady rhythm of the bowls unfolds, the mind is gradually guided into slower brainwave states such as alpha and theta, rhythms associated with relaxation, creativity, and deep restorative rest.
What follows is conscious rest, a place where the body can relax deeply while the mind remains quietly aware. With regular practice, returning to this state becomes increasingly natural, even outside the session.
ABOUT THE PRACTICE
During a sound healing session, you will simply lie down on a comfortable mat in our Himalayan salt room while the practitioner plays Himalayan singing bowls live around the space. Blankets and eye pillows are provided so your body can fully relax.
There is nothing you need to do during the session. You are not required to meditate or control your thoughts. Most guests simply close their eyes and allow the sound to unfold naturally.
As the tones fill the room, you may notice your breathing slowing, your body becoming heavier, and the mind gradually settling into a quiet state of rest. Some people drift close to sleep, while others remain gently aware throughout the experience.
Every session feels slightly different. The only intention is to give the body and mind a calm space to rest and reset.
A single session can shift how you feel for days. With regular practice, the depth of rest often becomes deeper and easier to access over time.
Deep Rest
The sustained frequencies give the mind a place to settle. Most people reach a state of rest within minutes.
Releases Tension
The tones move through the body and encourage a gradual softening of held tightness, including muscle aches and tension that accumulate through the day.
Better Sleep
The calming effect of the frequencies carries into the hours after a session. Many guests find it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep on the nights following a sound bath.
Emotional Ease
Sound sessions are often used to release held emotional weight, fatigue, and the low-level tension that builds when life stays busy for too long.
